The Calumet Copper Kings basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Ontonagon Gladiators to 31 in the Copper Kings non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Copper Kings now have a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Escanaba for a non-league game on Friday, January 24. Calumet will confront a Eskymos team coming off a 52-33 non-league win over West Iron County (Iron River, MI). The Eskymos record now stands at 7-5.

With the loss, Ontonagon falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Gladiators host L'Anse (L'Anse, MI) to confront the Purple Hornets in a Copper Mountain game on Thursday, January 23. The Purple Hornets go into the game with a record of 7-2.
