Granville Blue Aces (Granville, OH) boosters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Johnstown-Monroe Johnnies (Johnstown, OH), 50-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Granville upgrades its record to 14-2 on the year. The Blue Aces travel to Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH) to face the Hornets in a Licking County - Buckeye match on Saturday, January 25. The Hornets enter the match with a record of 6-8. Licking Heights won 52-48 in their recent league match against Lakewood (Hebron, OH)

The Johnnies now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Heath for a Licking County - Cardinal match on Saturday, January 25. Johnstown-Monroe will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 45-28 league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, OH). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-12.
