The Leadership Academy Falcons nipped the visiting Winston-Salem Prep Phoenix basketball squad by a final score of 2-0 in Wednesday's league outing.
Next, the Falcons clash with the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) in a 1A Northwest Piedmont outing, on Thursday, January 23. Leadership Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Cardinals enter the outing with a 6-11 record after their 71-29 league loss to Bethany Community (Summerfield, NC).
The Phoenix (1-7) will now prepare for their outing against Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC). The Villains enter the 1A Northwest Piedmont outing with a 13-0 record. In their last outing, Bishop McGuinness got by T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC), 54-43, in a non-league outing.
