The Nooksack Valley Pioneers (Everson, WA) basketball were winner over the visiting Mt. Baker Mountaineers (Deming, WA), 59-43 in Wednesday's league bout.
The Pioneers now possess a 10-5 record. They play next when they travel to Lynden Christian for a 1A/2A/3A Northwest bout on Friday, January 24. Nooksack Valley will clash with a Lyncs squad coming off a 64-26 league win over Anacortes (Anacortes, WA). The Lyncs record now stands at 13-2.
The Mountaineers (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against Oak Harbor (Oak Harbor, WA). The Wildcats come into the 1A/2A/3A Northwest outing with a 3-12 record. In their last outing, Oak Harbor was defeated by Blaine (Blaine, WA), 22-19, in a league outing.
