The crowd at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mahtomedi Zephyrs (Mahtomedi, MN) and the host Chaska Hawks (Chaska, MN), witnessed Mahtomedi's ice hockey team defeat Chaska by a score of 7-3.

The Zephyrs (6-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Hermantown (Hermantown, MN). The Hawks come into the non-league challenge with a 12-4 record. In their last challenge, Hermantown got by Superior (Superior, WI), 3-1, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the St. Louis Park Orioles (St. Louis Park, MN) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Chaska will attempt to better on its 1-12 season record. The Orioles come into the challenge with a 10-6 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Jefferson (Bloomington, MN).
