The Adair County Indians basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting Russell County Lakers to 40 in the Indians non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Indians now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they host Metcalfe County for a non-league game on Saturday, January 25. Adair County will confront a Hornets team coming off a 49-40 non-league win over Warren East (Bowling Green, KY). The Hornets record now stands at 1-2.

With the loss, Russell County falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to Lewis County (Vanceburg, KY) to confront the Lions in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Lions go into the game with a record of 1-1. Lewis County lost 58-50 in their recent non-league game against Elliott County (Sandy Hook, KY)
