North Carolina High School Basketball - West Wilkes victorious over Elkin

In Wednesday's non-league contest, the host West Wilkes Blackhawks basketball team scored a good 57-45 triumph over the Elkin Buckin' Elks.

The Blackhawks (11-2) will now prepare for their contest against Surry Central (Dobson, NC). The Golden Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Surry Central topped East Surry (Pilot Mountain, NC), 60-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Buckin' Elks battle the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Elkin will attempt to better on its 4-12 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 3-8 record after their 67-45 non-league loss to Mount Airy (Mount Airy, NC).
