Florida High School Basketball - Leon knocks off Maclay

The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Leon Lions (Tallahassee, FL) and the host Maclay Marauders (Tallahassee, FL), observed Leon's basketball team overcome Maclay by a score of 49-39.

The Lions (16-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Chiles (Tallahassee, FL). The Timberwolves come into the 5A District 2 contest with a 10-11 record. In their last contest, Chiles was topped by Munroe (Quincy, FL), 60-47, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Marauders battle the St. John Paul II Panthers (Tallahassee, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 23. Maclay will attempt to better on its 3-18 season record. The Panthers come into the contest with a 6-13 record after their 74-30 non-league loss to Munroe (Quincy, FL).
