The Brown County Hornets basketball team (Mt. Sterling, IL), dropped 70-59 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL)

The Mustangs now sport a 6-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Quest Charter Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, January 27. Mendon Unity will battle a Gators team coming off a 49-38 non-league win over Roanoke-Benson (Roanoke, IL). The Gators record now stands at 9-14.

The Hornets (16-7) will now prepare for their battle against Seymour (Payson, IL). The Indians come into the West Central battle with a 13-7 record. In their last battle, Seymour dropped by Camp Point Central (Camp Point, IL), 63-53, in a league battle.
