In Monday's non-league outing, the Moore County Raiders (Lynchburg, TN) basketball squad edged the visiting Cannon County Lions (Woodbury, TN), by a count of 44-43.
The Raiders (7-8) will now prepare for their outing against Huntland (Huntland, TN). The Hornets go into the 1A District 9 outing with a 13-9 record. In their last outing, Huntland held off Cornersville (Cornersville, TN), 98-60, in a league outing.
The Lions now hold a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Community for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 24. Cannon County will clash with a Vikings/Viqueens squad coming off a 64-57 league loss to Grundy County (Coalmont, TN). The Vikings/Viqueens record now stands at 1-19.
