The Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) basketball nipped the host Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), 72-70 in Monday's non-league test.
The Tigers (5-11) will now prepare for their test against Winterset (Winterset, IA). The Huskies go into the Raccoon River test with a 10-6 record. In their last test, Winterset was tipped by Carroll (Carroll, IA), 65-52, in a league test.
The Cubs now own a 9-6 record. They play next when they travel to West Marshall for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Nevada will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 45-34 league win over BCLUW (Conrad, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 6-7.
