The University Eagles basketball team (Ferndale, MI), was overwhelmed 79-44 in Monday's non-league battle with the host Groves Falcons (Beverly Hills, MI)
The Falcons now possess a 8-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Orion for a Oakland - White battle on Thursday, January 26. Groves will confront a Dragons team coming off a 45-43 non-league loss to De La Salle Collegiate (Warren, MI). The Dragons record now stands at 6-4.
The Eagles (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against Pontiac (Pontiac, MI). The Phoenix come into the Oakland - Gold battle with a 4-8 record. In their last battle, Pontiac was overwhelmed by Harper Woods (Harper Woods, MI), 67-41, in a league battle.
