Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host St. John's Prep Johnnies (Collegeville, MN), 60-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Holdingford advances its record to 3-7 on the season. The Huskers travel to Maple Lake (Maple Lake, MN) to encounter the Irish in a AA Section 6 test on Tuesday, January 24. The Irish go into the test with a record of 0-11. Maple Lake lost 80-28 in their recent non-league test against Pine City (Pine City, MN)

The Johnnies now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Walker-Hackensack-Akeley for a A Section 5 test on Friday, January 27.
