With the victory, Penasco improves its record to 4-11 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM) to confront the Lobos in a 2A District 5 challenge on Thursday, January 26. The Lobos come into the challenge with a record of 10-7. Escalante lost 61-55 in their recent league challenge against Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM)

Next up, the Hawks confront the Rehoboth Christian Lynx (Rehoboth, NM) in a 2A District 1 challenge, on Tuesday, January 24. Laguna Acoma will attempt to improve on its 5-14 season record. The Lynx come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 66-49 non-league win over Estancia (Estancia, NM).
