In Monday's non-league outing, the Pope John Paul II Jaguars (Slidell, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA), by a count of 58-32.
The Jaguars (10-8) will now prepare for their outing against Springfield (Springfield, LA). The Bulldogs go into the 2A District 7 outing with a 7-16 record. In their last outing, Springfield was crushed by Doyle (Livingston, LA), 66-55, in a non-league outing.
The Cowboys now hold a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Amite for a 3A District 7 outing on Friday, February 3.
