The Brooks Lions (Killen, AL) basketball nipped the visiting Haleyville Lions (Haleyville, AL), 60-58 in Monday's non-league test.
The Lions (1-21) will now prepare for their test against Central (Florence, AL). The Wildcats go into the 4A Area 16 test with a 0-10 record. In their last test, Central was tipped by Deshler (Tuscumbia, AL), 83-26, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Russellville for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Haleyville will encounter a Golden Tigers squad coming off a 50-40 league loss to West Point (Cullman, AL). The Golden Tigers record now stands at 6-12.
