Columbus Discoverers (Columbus, NE) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hastings Tigers (Hastings, NE), 52-33 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Columbus upgrades its record to 6-9 on the season. The Discoverers travel to Lincoln High (Lincoln, NE) to clash with the Links in a A District TBD bout on Thursday, January 26. The Links go into the bout with a record of 13-1. Lincoln High won 70-34 in their recent league bout against Fremont (Fremont, NE)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 27. Hastings will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record.
