Nazareth Academy Roadrunners (LaGrange Park, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Deerfield Warriors (Deerfield, IL), 65-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Nazareth Academy upgrades its record to 21-1 on the campaign. The Roadrunners travel to Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL) to play the Spartans in a East Suburban Catholic bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Spartans come into the bout with a record of 22-4. Marian Catholic won 62-35 in their recent league bout against Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL)

Next up, the Warriors play the Niles North Vikings (Skokie, IL) in a Central Suburban - North bout, on Friday, January 27. Deerfield will attempt to upgrade on its 19-5 season record. The Vikings come into the bout with a 6-15 record after their 55-47 league win over Highland Park (Highland Park, IL).
