Florida High School Basketball - Mitchell can't hold off East Lake

The East Lake Eagles basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Mitchell Mustangs to 60 in the Eagles non-league victory on Monday.

The Eagles now sport a 17-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Fivay for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 25. East Lake will battle a Falcons team coming off a 59-14 non-league loss to Sunlake (Land O' Lakes, FL). The Falcons record now stands at 3-18.

The Mustangs (11-12) will now prepare for their contest against Gaither (Tampa, FL). The Cowboys come into the non-league contest with a 6-14 record. In their last contest, Gaither edged Brandon (Brandon, FL), 44-22, in a non-league contest.
