Phoenix Spartans (Braithwaite, LA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Grace King Fighting Irish (Metairie, LA), 40-28 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Phoenix upgrades its record to 10-9 on the season. The Spartans host East Feliciana (Jackson, LA) to clash with the Tigers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, January 25. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-5. East Feliciana lost 68-34 in their recent non-league bout against Parkview Baptist (Baton Rouge, LA)
Next up, the Fighting Irish clash with the West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA) in a 5A District 8 bout, on Thursday, January 26. Grace King will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record.
