Kentucky High School Basketball - Greenup County fells Nitro

January 23, 2023: Greenup, KY 41144

Greenup County Musketeers (Greenup, KY) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV), 49-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Greenup County upgrades its record to 8-7 on the season. The Musketeers travel to Rose Hill Christian (Ashland, KY) to play the Royals in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 26. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

Next up, the Wildcats play the Ripley Vikings (Ripley, WV) in a Freelance bout, on Friday, January 27. Nitro will attempt to upgrade on its 9-5 season record. The Vikings go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 40-39 league win over Logan (Logan, WV).
