South Dakota High School Basketball - Groton nudges Northwestern Area

In Monday's non-league outing, the Groton Tigers (Groton, SD) basketball squad edged the visiting Northwestern Area Wildcats (Mellette, SD), by a count of 39-33.
The Tigers (9-3) will now prepare for their outing against Webster (Webster, SD). The Bearcats go into the A Region 1 outing with a 3-8 record. In their last outing, Webster held off Waverly/South Shore (Waverly, SD), 53-17, in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats now hold a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Faulkton for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 24. Northwestern Area will clash with a Trojans squad coming off a 49-43 league loss to Highmore/Harrold (Highmore, SD). The Trojans record now stands at 4-6.
