New Mexico High School Basketball - Jal trounced by Texico

The Texico Wolverines routed the visiting Jal Panthers basketball team by a final score of 59-30 in Monday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Wolverines face the Clayton Yellowjackets (Clayton, NM) in a 2A District 6 game, on Thursday, January 26. Texico will attempt to move on its 7-12 season record. The Yellowjackets enter the game with a 16-3 record after their 61-16 non-league win over Maxwell (Maxwell, NM).

With the defeat, Jal moves to 9-11 on the year. The Panthers travel to Eunice (Eunice, NM) to face the Cardinals in a 2A District 4 game on Friday, January 27. The Cardinals enter the game with a record of 6-7.
