The Metcalfe County Hornets basketball team (Edmonton, KY), was overwhelmed 68-43 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Pulaski County Maroons (Somerset, KY)

The Maroons now possess a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Somerset for a District 47 battle on Friday, January 27. Pulaski County will battle a Briar Jumpers team coming off a 69-40 non-league win over Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY). The Briar Jumpers record now stands at 11-7.

The Hornets (9-5) will now prepare for their battle against Monroe County (Tompkinsville, KY). The Falcons come into the District 16 battle with a 10-6 record.
