The crowd at Monday's non-league test between the Carthage Bulldogs (Carthage, TX) and the visiting New Summerfield Hornets (New Summerfield, TX), saw Carthage's soccer squad triumph over New Summerfield by a count of 7-0.
The Bulldogs now hold a 5-3 record. They play next when they host Kilgore for a 4A Region 2 District 15 test on Friday, January 27. Carthage will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 1-0 non-league loss to Nacogdoches (Nacogdoches, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, New Summerfield drops to 5-3 on the season. The Hornets host Gladewater (Gladewater, TX) to meet the Bears in a non-league test on Thursday, January 26. The Bears come into the test with a record of 0-2.
