The St. Joseph's Prep Hawks (Philadelphia, PA) ice hockey nipped the host St. Augustine Prep Hermits (Richland, NJ), 4-3 in Monday's non-league battle.
The Hawks now possess a 14-3 record. They play next when they host Gloucester Catholic for a non-league battle on Wednesday, February 1. St. Joseph's Prep will play a Rams team coming off a 4-0 league win over St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, NJ). The Rams record now stands at 1-0.
The Hermits (4-2) will now prepare for their battle against Malvern Prep (Malvern, PA). The Friars come into the non-league battle with a 6-5 record. In their last battle, Malvern Prep was nipped by Holy Ghost Prep (Bensalem, PA), 3-2, in a league test.
