The Annawan Braves basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Monmouth United Red Storm to 52 in the Braves league triumph on Tuesday.
The Braves now sport a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Galva for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Annawan will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 74-60 league loss to Princeville (Princeville, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-14.
The Red Storm (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Flying Geese enter the Lincoln Trail contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Wethersfield ran past Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL), 65-34, in a league contest.
