Montana High School Basketball - East Helena nips Jefferson

January 23, 2024: East Helena, MT 59635

East Helena Vigilantes (East Helena, MT) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Jefferson Panthers (Boulder, MT), 53-51 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East Helena upgrades its record to 2-8 on the campaign. The Vigilantes travel to Beaverhead County (Dillon, MT) to play the Beavers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Beavers come into the bout with a record of 10-1. Beaverhead County won 70-30 in their recent league bout against Stevensville (Stevensville, MT)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lone Peak Big Horns (Gallatin Gateway, MT) in a B District 5 bout, on Thursday, January 25. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Big Horns come into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 79-39 league loss to Manhattan (Manhattan, MT).
