The Grand Valley Mustangs basketball team (Orwell, OH), was nudged 59-56 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Southeast Pirates (Ravenna, OH)

The Pirates now possess a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lake Center Christian for a Portage Trail battle on Friday, January 26. Southeast will battle a Tiger team coming off a 64-51 league loss to Mogadore (Mogadore, OH). The Tiger record now stands at 9-5.

The Mustangs (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Berkshire (Burton, OH). The Badgers come into the Chagrin Valley - Valley battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Berkshire edged Chalker (Southington, OH), 79-44, in a non-league battle.
