Walker Valley Mustangs (Cleveland, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Knoxville Catholic Fighting Irish (Knoxville, TN), 66-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Walker Valley upgrades its record to 14-7 on the season. The Mustangs host Cleveland (Cleveland, TN) to play the Blue Raiders in a 4A District 5 bout on Friday, January 26. The Blue Raiders go into the bout with a record of 1-13.

Next up, the Fighting Irish play the Legacy Early College Lions (Greenville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 27. Knoxville Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 12-8 season record. The Lions go into the bout with a 11-6 record after their 48-31 non-league win over GREEN Upstate (Simpsonville, SC).
