The Manual Rams basketball team scored 71 points and restricted the host Springfield Southeast Spartans to 53 in the Rams non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Rams now sport a 13-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Danville for a Big Twelve contest on Friday, January 26. Manual will battle a Vikings team coming off a 69-35 league win over Normal West (Normal, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 8-13.

The Spartans (5-16) will now prepare for their contest against Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Panthers come into the Central State Eight contest with a 8-11 record. In their last contest, Decatur Eisenhower prevailed over St. Teresa (Decatur, IL), 57-52, in a non-league contest.
