Mountain Mission Challengers (Grundy, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mercer Christian Academy Cavaliers (Princeton, WV), 72-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Mountain Mission upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Challengers host Wesley Christian (Allen, KY) to clash with the Circuit Riders in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Circuit Riders go into the bout with a record of 8-15. Wesley Christian lost 74-54 in their recent non-league bout against Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, TN)

Next up, the Cavaliers clash with the Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders (Prosperity, WV) in a Coalfield A bout, on Friday, January 26. Mercer Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-8 season record. The Crusaders go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 71-62 non-league loss to Webster County (Upper Glade, WV).
