In Tuesday's non-league outing, the Morris Redskins (Morris, IL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Newark Norsemen (Newark, IL), by a count of 68-46.

The Redskins (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Providence Catholic (New Lenox, IL). The Celtics go into the non-league outing with a 8-11 record. In their last outing, Providence Catholic smashed Providence-St. Mel (Chicago, IL), 68-39, in a league outing.

The Norsemen now hold a 4-14 record. They play next when they travel to DePue for a Little Ten outing on Wednesday, January 24. Newark will clash with a Little Giants squad coming off a 45-26 non-league win over West Carroll (Savanna, IL). The Little Giants record now stands at 5-12.
