In Tuesday's non-league outing, the New Town Eagles (New Town, ND) basketball squad felled the visiting Watford City Wolves (Watford City, ND), by a margin of 71-61.

The Eagles (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Dunseith (Dunseith, ND). The Dragons go into the A Region 3 outing with a 2-9 record. In their last outing, Dunseith was beaten by South Prairie/Max (Minot, ND), 76-64, in a league outing.

The Wolves now own a 2-10 record. They play next when they travel to Standing Rock for a A Region 4 outing on Friday, January 26. Watford City will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 74-70 non-league loss to Cheyenne-Eagle Butte (Eagle Butte, SD). The Warriors record now stands at 5-6.
