Pearl River Rebels (Pearl River, LA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA), 65-59 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pearl River upgrades its record to 12-12 on the campaign. The Rebels travel to Family Christian (Baton Rouge, LA) to play the Flames in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 25. The Flames come into the bout with a record of 6-18.

Next up, the play the Houma Christian Warriors (Houma, LA) in a 2A District 9 bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 16-8 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 11-8 record after their 59-52 non-league win over Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA).
