The Jefferson County North Chargers (Winchester, KS) basketball nipped the visiting Atchison Phoenix (Atchison, KS), 51-48 in Tuesday's non-league test.

The Chargers (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool (Topeka, KS). The Nighthawks go into the non-league test with a 10-4 record. In their last test, Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool got by Valley Falls (Valley Falls, KS), 46-32, in a non-league test.
