Iroquois West Raiders (Gilman, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Beecher Bobcats (Beecher, IL), 41-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Iroquois West upgrades its record to 15-8 on the season. The Raiders host Hoopeston (Hoopeston, IL) to play the Cornjerkers in a Vermilion Valley bout on Thursday, January 25. The Cornjerkers go into the bout with a record of 12-12. Hoopeston lost 46-37 in their recent non-league bout against St. Thomas More (Champaign, IL)

Next up, the Bobcats play the Gardner-South Wilmington Panthers (Gardner, IL) in a River Valley bout, on Thursday, January 25. Beecher will attempt to upgrade on its 12-12 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 15-6 record after their 56-27 league win over Donovan/St. Anne (Donovan, IL).
