The Bertha-Hewitt Bears basketball team scored 52 points and held the host Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Thunder to 14 in the Bears league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bears now sport a 9-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wadena-Deer Creek for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Bertha-Hewitt will meet a Wolverines team coming off a 52-50 league win over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton (Glyndon, MN). The Wolverines record now stands at 10-8.
The Thunder (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Benson (Benson, MN). The enter the non-league contest with a 4-9 record. In their last contest, Benson was routed by Melrose (Melrose, MN), 55-42, in a non-league game.
