In Tuesday's non-league outing, the East Grand Vikings (Dansforth, ME) basketball squad beat the host Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME), by a count of 34-23.
The Vikings (2-8) will now prepare for their outing against Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME). The Cougars go into the D North outing with a 8-4 record. In their last outing, Katahdin was topped by Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME), 43-37, in a non-league outing.
The Owls now hold a 1-11 record. They play next when they host Washburn for a non-league outing on Friday, January 26. Madawaska will clash with a Beavers squad coming off a 29-17 league win over Van Buren (Van Buren, ME). The Beavers record now stands at 5-7.
