The West Jefferson Buccaneers (Harvey, LA) basketball nipped the host East Jefferson Warriors (Metairie, LA), 31-27 in Tuesday's league test.

The Buccaneers (2-16) will now prepare for their test against Bonnabel (Kenner, LA). The Bruins go into the 5A District 8 test with a 8-13 record.

The Warriors now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Bonnabel for a 5A District 8 test on Thursday, January 25. East Jefferson will encounter a Bruins squad coming off a 51-24 league win over John Ehret (Marrero, LA). The Bruins record now stands at 8-13.
