The Ewen-Trout Creek Panthers basketball team scored 42 points and held the host L'Anse Purple Hornets to 26 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Panthers now sport a 8-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chassell for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Ewen-Trout Creek will battle a Panthers team coming off a 57-31 non-league win over Watersmeet (Watersmeet, MI). The Panthers record now stands at 2-7.

The Purple Hornets (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Ontonagon (Ontonagon, MI). The Gladiators enter the non-league contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Ontonagon ran past Dollar Bay (Dollar Bay, MI), 42-27, in a non-league contest.
