The Goessel Bluebirds basketball team scored 39 points and held the visiting Reno County HomeSchool Sabres to 29 in the Bluebirds non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Bluebirds now sport a 6-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Central Christian Academy for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 25. Goessel will battle a team coming off a 46-43 non-league win over Fairfield (Langdon, KS). The record now stands at 5-4.
The Sabres (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Fairfield (Langdon, KS). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Fairfield ran past Stafford (Stafford, KS), 46-41, in a non-league contest.
