Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Sacred Heart Academy knocked off by Gwynedd Mercy Academy

The Gwynedd Mercy Academy Monarchs basketball team scored 50 points and held the visiting Sacred Heart Academy Lions to 30 in the Monarchs league triumph on Tuesday.
The Monarchs now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Villa Maria Academy for a Catholic Academies contest on Friday, January 26. Gwynedd Mercy Academy will meet a Hurricanes team coming off a 53-50 non-league loss to Bayard Rustin (West Chester, PA). The Hurricanes record now stands at 11-5.
The Lions (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Springfield Township (Erdenheim, PA). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Springfield Township ran past William Tennent (Warminster, PA), 68-54, in a league contest.
