Highland Bulldogs (Highland, IL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hillsboro Hiltoppers (Hillsboro, IL), 60-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 18-9 on the season. The Bulldogs host Jersey (Jerseyville, IL) to clash with the Panthers in a Mississippi Valley bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 15-10. Jersey lost 51-38 in their recent non-league bout against Carrollton (Carrollton, IL)

Next up, the Hiltoppers clash with the Gillespie Miners (Gillespie, IL) in a South Central bout, on Thursday, January 25. Hillsboro will attempt to upgrade on its 11-14 season record. The Miners go into the bout with a 20-6 record after their 63-40 non-league win over New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly (New Berlin, IL).
