The John Paul II Centurions basketball team scored 53 points and held the host John Paul II Guardians to 33 in the Centurions league triumph on Tuesday.
The Centurions now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hill Country Christian School of Austin for a TAPPS 4A District 3 contest on Wednesday, January 24. John Paul II will battle a Knights team coming off a 73-35 league loss to Incarnate Word Academy (Corpus Christi, TX). The Knights record now stands at 18-7.
The Guardians (6-10) will now prepare for their contest against Holy Cross (San Antonio, TX). The Knights enter the TAPPS 4A District 3 contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Holy Cross ran past Texas School for the Deaf (Austin, TX), 43-37, in a league contest.
