The Meridian Bobcats basketball team (Mounds, IL), was overwhelmed 63-35 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the host Vienna Eagles (Vienna, IL)
The Eagles now possess a 19-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Carbondale for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 25. Vienna will confront a Terriers team coming off a 74-37 non-league loss to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL). The Terriers record now stands at 9-17.
The Bobcats (15-8) will now prepare for their battle against Northside Baptist Christian (Mayfield, KY). The Lions come into the non-league battle with a 0-3 record. In their last battle, Northside Baptist Christian was overwhelmed by Century (Ullin, IL), 70-28, in a non-league battle.
