Louisiana High School Basketball - Slaughter Community Charter knocked off by St. John

The St. John Eagles basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Slaughter Community Charter Knights to 29 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Eagles now sport a 13-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host East Iberville for a 1A District 8 contest on Friday, January 26. St. John will battle a Tigers team coming off a 46-11 league win over Ascension Christian (Gonzales, LA). The Tigers record now stands at 17-8.
The Knights (3-9) will now prepare for their contest against Northeast (Pride, LA). The Vikings enter the non-league contest with a 8-12 record. In their last contest, Northeast was defeated by East Iberville (St. Gabriel, LA), 48-25, in a non-league contest.
