The Cape Hatteras Hurricanes (Buxton, NC) basketball nipped the visiting Ocracoke Dolphins (Ocracoke, NC), 40-37 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Hurricanes (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Columbia (Columbia, NC). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 2-6 record. In their last test, Columbia was tipped by Mattamuskeet (Swan Quarter, NC), 45-30, in a non-league test.
The Dolphins now own a 1-7 record. They play next when they travel to Hobgood Charter for a test on Thursday, January 25. Ocracoke will encounter a Raiders squad coming off a 42-29 league loss to Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 2-3.
