Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Forsyth Country Day Furies (Lewisville, NC), 60-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Phoenix Academy upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Firebirds host Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC) to play the Villains in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Villains go into the bout with a record of 13-3.

Next up, the Furies play the Bishop McGuinness Villains (Kernersville, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 24. Forsyth Country Day will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Villains go into the bout with a 12-3 record after their 62-50 league win over Carver (Winston-Salem, NC).
