The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY) and the visiting Pikeville Panthers (Pikeville, KY), observed Harlan County's basketball team overwhelm Pikeville by a score of 89-68.

The Black Bears (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Breathitt County (Jackson, KY). The Bobcats come into the non-league challenge with a 11-3 record.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Blazer Tomcats (Ashland, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 25. Pikeville will attempt to improve on its 6-5 season record. The Tomcats come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 77-58 non-league win over Bardstown (Bardstown, KY).
